Fellowships and Financial Aid
NIH-NIGMS Training Fellowships Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has been awarded a grant by the National Institutes of Health for training doctoral students in Biomolecular Science and Engineering. The grant, along with matching funds from Rensselaer, will provide funding for six Ph.D. candidates annually. The program will be conducted jointly with the Wadsworth Center of the New York State Department of Health and will involve 20 faculty from both institutions.
Fellowships are just one of the many financial aid options available to our students.
Rensselaer fellowship and financial applications are completed as part of the graduate application. In fact, some fellowships are especially created for Biomedical Engineering. Recently a Rensselaer Alumnus donated a quarter-million dollar fellowship to the Institute, with part of the endowment dedicated to biomedical engineering. For a complete list of options, refer to the Graduate Admissions at: http://gradadmissions.rpi.edu
In addition to the many opportunities for financial support within the Rensselaer community (including the NIH-NIGMS Training Fellowships), external fellowships are available. A good, comprehensive list can be found at: http://scholarships.fatomei.com/
